Yes and yes
There is an entrance in the back. I would call the store and ask them if there is any better accessible entrances.
I don't know if you can order online. It's pretty much old school. I got on their website and found the menu and prices too.
We got the lake pack with an add on of catfish. I can't express how amazing the food was. His service is always wonderful. He's nice and so kind and very grateful for your business. For sure will keep going to support a great local business.
First time here and I've already fallen in love. I ordered The Nana dish with my choice of brisket, turkey and ham; sides of baked beans and coleslaw with lemonade as beverage; spicy barbecue sauce. I took my first bite and my taste buds started singing hallelujah. My food was extremely delicious! The meats were cooked to perfection and seasoned correctly. The barbecue baked beans was my favorite side. It tasted amazing and you could tell it was made with love. I truly enjoyed my meal and you will too. Head on over to Crosstown Barbecue to experience your taste buds singing hallelujah!
Been coming here since I was a kid. Always a good experience and amazing food!
Delicious. Baby Backs were spot on. Owner and help were very friendly. Checked on me a few times to make sure I was happy. Thank you.
I would call myself a Big Bean Boy. A guy who's pretty into baked beans. And this place has some GREAT beans. But you know what's even better? The BBQ. I live close to here and if the wind is right the smell of stuff cooking wafts right over to me and it is better than any Bath and BodyWorks Wallflower or whatever that you can buy.
Food was very good, the staff was friendly.
A special celebration of family and friends!!Love the food but the feeling of being part of the family as soon as you step in the door is Priceless!!!
Good food. Burnt ends where a little fatty but good.
The waitress was nice, the brisket, baked beans & coleslaw were great but the small end ribs were a bit overdone & we didn't care for their BBQ sauce - it was good in the beans but not on the meat - tasted like chili.
Great BBQ. It's basically Kansas City style but done so well that I'd rank them amongst the best if they were in KC.
Very small portions for paying $10 for a meal. The meat had no flavor. & the guy who answered the phone was super rude ! Definitely not impressed and will not be going back !
Great price, great service and food was good. Family owned and operated. BBQ sauce was great best I've had in a long time.
Excellent food and great service. The staff is friendly and make you feel comfortable. The burnt ends were fantastic.
Fabulous barbecue. Cannot recommend enough. Has been consistently amazing the entire 16 years I have been going there.
Food is excellent!!! Service is very good. Wait staff and cook are very welcoming and the owner is happy to sit and talk with you if you invite him to do so.
Best bbq of swmo. Feel sorry for you folks going to chain bbqs. I think fries could be better but pork is good.
Incredible KC style barbecue from a family owned restaurant celebrating 50 years this year! Generous portions and 5 star personalized service with a smile! The owner and Chef makes everyone feel like family and you're not just a number here! Definitely a place to enjoy real delicious barbecue the nostalgic way!
Great food. Great service.
Had a great meal at Crosstown. Large portions served quickly by pleasant staff. Restaurant has hometown feel where owner knows (or gets to know) everyone that walks through the door. Priced from $8 sandwiches to $25 slab.
I happened by this restaurant a few times before deciding to finally give it a try. Definitely wasn’t disappointed. Very good food and service. Kind of a hidden gem right in the middle of town. But worth discovering!
The food is delicious. The restaurant has a lot of charm. Staff is friendly.
Great BBQ! Service was wonderful and the owner was pleasant to talk to. I recommend Crosstown Barbecue!
Good stuff! Beware the sausage is a bit spicy. the only thing I didn’t care for were the burnt ends, as they were kinda dry. Could have just been a bad batch though.Great locally owned small business. Owner was very friendly.
Excellent food with a wonderful staff. I went in the evening when there were not many people in the dining room. I watched a drive through window order and it was quick and easy. The portions are awesome for a hungry college kid looking to stretch his/her money. Everything is smoked in house. Very tasty!
Been having the outstanding experience if enjoying their food for decades.
Hands down the best bbq restaurant in Springfield. Nothing even comes close. It has a very mom and pop feel, and the staff are all very friendly and provide great service. You will not only enjoy the best bbq here, but feel genuinely appreciated by the staff for coming in. The baby back ribs are amazing and their bbq sauce is so, so, so good.
Most delicious BBQ around! Valentine's Day tradition...baby back ribs, cheese fries, slaw, and pit beans! Relish...
We ate here tonight and this was some of the best food I’ve ever had! Not only that but the conversation with Steve was welcome and amazing. Thank you for treating us like family. We will be back time and time again.
I enjoyed the food very much. The owner and the waitress were more like friends you hadn't seen in awhile. Delicious food, friendly people a wonderful place to eat. I hope to go back the next time we are in Springfield
I've been wanting to try this place for a while, as it looks like the stereotypical hole-in-the-wall bbq place that has hidden treasures inside. However, I was so disappointed. I ordered the large beef brisket sandwich for $10, expecting to have leftovers. My sandwich came out on soft white bread, not even toasted, and quickly fell apart once the bbq sauce was added. The beef was burnt and fatty, and the sauce was rather bland. And definitely no leftovers. I went ahead and finished it because I was starving, and was still hungry afterwards. The service was not great, either. Just one server was there and she was not very pleasant, spent a lot of time complaining that customers kept coming in, and as we were leaving, said, "Wowwww," as if we had been stingy with our 15% tip. Perhaps things were bad because it was 2pm on a weekday, but the experience was bad enough that I will never go back.
Driven by this place 1000 times smelled the smoker 1000 times. Wasn't a huge fan of bbq until now. Tried it during the great plague of 2020. Drive through was open. Compliments to the chef.
This is the third BBQ joint I've been to since moving to Springfield, and it's by far the best. The meat had a nice smoky flavor and was all perfectly cooked. Brisket is always my benchmark for a BBQ, since so many places dry it out, but Crosstown made it perfect. The hot links are great. The sauces had a lot of flavor. The meats are definitely worth the trip!
50 year old establishment beats the pants off of all of the chains (and most of the local BBQ joints.) I sampled their catfish, okra, onion rings, pit beans, potato salad, pulled pork and ham. It was all great! The onion rings were the best I've ever had and the ham is freaking heaven. I'm looking forward to working through the rest of the menu.
